She Asked If He Would Remarry
A wife looks at her husband and gently asks,
“Darling, if I passed away, would you ever remarry?”
He pauses thoughtfully. “Eventually, yes. After grieving… I think companionship helps people heal.”
She nods slowly. “And would she live in our house?”
“Well,” he says, “we’ve put so much into this home. I wouldn’t sell it. So yes, she probably would.”
“And would she sleep in our bed?”
He sighs. “It’s a $2,000 bed, practically brand new. It would make sense.”
The wife narrows her eyes slightly. “And would she use my golf clubs?”
Without missing a beat, he smiles and says,
“Oh no, my dear… she’s left-handed.”
