President Donald Trump has announced his plan to end the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, expressing confidence that the leaders of both nations are eager to negotiate a resolution.

Speaking at Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach, Florida, Trump emphasized his efforts to bring peace to the conflict, stating, “It’s a war that should have never started.”

Trump reiterated that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin are motivated to end the war. The conflict, which began with Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014 and escalated in 2022, has caused extensive casualties and displacement. Trump sees an opportunity for the war to end and affirmed Zelenskyy would be directly involved in the peace talks.

Trump also discussed military aid, confirming that European nations could purchase American-made weapons initially meant for Ukraine, signaling a shift in U.S. foreign policy.
