Kevin Costner makes shock claim about wife’s secret move after divorce filing

Kevin Costner may have been stunned by his wife’s decision to file for divorce last month

but reports stated at the time that he was ready to do his best to win her back.

Fast forward to now, a month on from Christine Baumgartner’s filing, and things look like they’re shaping up to potentially get ugly between the pair.

Following on from speculation that Baumgartner was refusing to leave the couple’s house

despite the terms of their prenup being clear that she had to find a new place to live within 30 days of the divorce filing

Page Six now claim that she’s also being accused of having secretly charged $95K to Costner’s credit card.

News of Kevin and Christine’s divorce came out of the blue earlier this year, amidst reports that Costner was to leave popular show Yellowstone. In early May, Christine filed divorce papers, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The pair had been married for 18 years.

A representative for Costner released a statement reading: “It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action.

“We ask that his, Christine’s and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”

Earlier this week, TMZ reported that Christine hasn’t yet moved out of the couple’s property. As per the pair’s prenup, Christine had 30 days to vacate the home after filing for divorce on May 1.

What’s more, documents state that Kevin is now trying to get the courts to force her out, with the actor of the belief that she is using her position as leverage to ensure he complies with “various financial demands.”

TMZ’s article claims that Costner has given Baumgartner financial support to the tune of $1.2 million, in line with the prenup the couple had signed. That money is to be used to help his wife find a new place. Not only that, but the actor is said to be willing to fork out $30K per month for a rental house, as well as a further $10K for her moving costs.

Interestingly, however, Costner is now accusing Baumgartner of having spent $95,000 of his money “without prior notice” to him on lawyers and a forensic accountant.

Page Six claim to have court documents that outline how Costner is alleging that his estranged wife is in violation of their pre-marital agreement.

As to the ins and outs of Costner and Baumgartner’s seemingly sudden separation, an insider moved to quash rumors that it had to do with the former’s previous infidelity.

Rather, it’s said that Costner’s hectic schedule was to blame for the breakdown of his marriage, with the Waterworld star forced to spend long periods away while he shot the hit series Yellowstone.

I don’t know about you, but I hope and pray Costner and Baumgartner can move on and remain on amicable terms.
