Shiloh, filed to drop his last name — but the actor is reportedly “devastated.”

The actor sees the teenager’s legal move as “more than a name change,” a source told Us Weekly Wednesday.

“It was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years,”

the insider claimed, with another alleging that he’s “finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with” the news.

The actor sees the legal move as a sign of their “deeper estrangement.”Us Weekly reported that Pitt is “upset” by the news.

A third added that Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15, don’t “have much of a relationship” with their dad — who is “not ready to give up on them.”

Page Six reported over the weekend that the “Fight Club” star, 60, is hoping to “forge” a bond with the kids as they “get older and have a life of their own.”

A source close to the Emmy winner alleged to us that Jolie, 49, has used their brood “as a weapon against Brad” and “separated” them from her ex-husband amid their contentious legal battle.

However, the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” stars have since continued to butt heads over custody and their French winery.

While the exes rarely speak directly about their divorce, Jolie told Vogue in September 2023 that she and her children are still “healing.”

Two months later, Zahara made headlines for referring to herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” instead of “Jolie-Pitt” during a sorority induction ceremony.

She was seemingly the second of Pitt’s kids to do so as Maddox reportedly only uses his dad’s surname for legal documents.

Zahara informally dropped Pitt’s surname during a 2023 college event.

The day Shiloh turned 18 last month, she filed to legally drop Pitt’s surname and reportedly paid for her own lawyer to do so.

“The reminders that he’s lost his children is, of course, not easy for Brad,” a source told People at the time. “He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

Pitt’s rep did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment at the time.
