There are tall women… and then there is Caroline Arthur, a mom from Melbourne, Australia, whose incredible legs have made her a real-life sensation. At 6 feet 2 inches tall, with legs measuring an astonishing 51½ inches — a full 69% of her body — she might even be a record breaker. Her children jokingly call her a “human skyscraper,” and honestly, they’re not wrong.
“I believe they’re definitely the longest in Australia and, as far as I know, in America too,” Caroline said. “Since my measurements are so close to the current record, it might be worth contacting officials to see exactly how they measure and get an accurate, official result.”
But having legs this long comes with challenges — especially when it comes to clothing. Caroline constantly struggles to find jeans and pants that actually cover her legs. She often has to buy pants based on length alone, completely ignoring waist size, just to make them work.
Her husband, Cameron, is roughly the same height she is, and their kids are following in their footsteps. Their 13-year-old son, Cooper, is already as tall as his mom, while their daughter, Zoe, is 15 and stands at 5-foot-9. What’s surprising is that Caroline’s own mother is just 5-foot-3.
Growing up wasn’t always easy for Caroline. Her height made her a target, and she was often teased and called “Caroline the Powerline.” She didn’t feel attractive — until she began modeling at 15, when she finally realized her height and looks were actually incredible assets.
“I just wanted to be like everyone else,” she said. “Modeling gave me confidence.”
Still, her long legs were both a blessing and a curse. “I was told I was too tall for Australian beauty standards and couldn’t model certain clothes because they simply didn’t fit me. So, while my legs sometimes got me jobs, other times they worked against me.”
As an adult, the attention hasn’t stopped — but it’s mostly positive now.
“I know that if I go out in the evening, I’m going to get a lot of looks,” she admitted. “I’m used to it. Some people say rude things, but honestly, most people are kind and impressed.”
Today, Caroline embraces her height fully.
“I can honestly say that at 39, I’m the most confident I’ve ever been. I feel more beautiful now than I ever have.”
Her husband added with a laugh, “We’re about the same height, but when we stand next to each other, her hip is much higher than mine. Being married to her is great for my posture — I have to stand perfectly straight!”
