🍳 How to Make Ground Beef Casserole
Step 1: Cook the Beef
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease. Stir in garlic salt, salt, sugar, and tomato sauce. Mix well, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and cover.
Step 2: Cook the Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook until al dente, following package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking.
Step 3: Prep the Oven & Dish
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
Step 4: Make the Creamy Mixture
In a bowl, combine the diced onion, sour cream, and cream cheese. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Step 5: Layer the Casserole
Place half of the noodles in the bottom of the prepared dish. Spread half of the sour cream mixture evenly on top, followed by half of the beef mixture. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Step 6: Bake
Top with shredded Cheddar cheese and bake for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling.
Step 7: Serve & Enjoy
Remove from the oven and serve warm. It’s the ultimate comfort dish — creamy, cheesy, and full of flavor!
