Canadian-born Pamela Anderson, who over the past decade went from glam to beautifully ordinary, offered fans a glimpse into her newly designed rustic home, which represents her love for nature.

The Baywatch sex symbol – once known for her exploits with her rockstar ex-husband – is now in her late 50s and embracing the simplicity of Western Canada on the land once owned by her grandparents.

And since the once wild woman returned to “her safe place,” fans are thrilled to see she’s “living simply,” and surprised to learn the humble star does her own laundry.

After years of keeping a busy schedule as the star of the popular TV show Baywatch, Pamela Anderson recently had a major makeover, redefining herself as a natural beauty.

No longer tethered by the sex symbol persona that defined her for several decades, Anderson, now 56, took the bold step of appearing with no makeup at the 2023 Paris Fashion Week.

The stunning actor and model walked the red carpet wearing an all-white ensemble that included wide-leg pants, a loose-fit tee, and a cream-colored blazer tossed over her shoulders. She paired the look with small silver stud earrings and her hair was tied back in a low ponytail which highlighted her barefaced beauty.

Speaking with Allure, Anderson explains her physical image misrepresented her true self.

“Without context my name [suggests] a wrong image. I’ve been on this journey, from Playboy to Baywatch – all these ‘Halloween costumes,’ I like to say – and now come back home to self-love and self-acceptance, I just feel like it’s OK. [What I’m into now] is a conscious choice,” Anderson says.

But it’s not just her physical appearance that was remodeled.

Canadian girl

Several years ago, Anderson – who was once married to rockers Tommy Lee, Mötley Crüe drummer, and Kid rock – left behind the hustle of Hollywood and settled back in Canada, where she was born.

While there, Anderson, a vegan and PETA spokesperson, renovated the idyllic coastal home on Vancouver Island that she purchased from her grandparents’ more than 30 years ago.

“It celebrates the magic of scenic settings where nature always has a proud seat at the table,” Anderson writes on Instagram.

The property, where she spent much of her childhood, spans six acres and is on the strait that separates the island from mainland British Columbia.

Many decades ago, her grandparents used part of the site as a holiday village with nine wooden cabins, one – which was among the eight demolished – was owned by her parents.

‘Mermaid castle’

Anderson, who starred as the Tool Time Girl in the 1990’s sitcom Home Improvement, had big plans for the rustic and “sexy” home improvement of her own home: “I want something wild, sexy, and crazy! I’m a mermaid and this is my mermaid castle.”

Reflecting her care-free personality and love of nature, the “cheap and cheerful makeover” of the grounds now includes a barn and sweeping gardens.

The boathouse is now a lakeside home, and the old pier was rebuilt with a pavilion, allowing the actor to dine over the glassy water.

‘Laundry is life’

While the area was being transformed, Anderson moved into the building called The Roadhouse, which was once a small store used by guests staying in the holiday cabins.

The woman, who says “laundry is my happy place” and “laundry is life,” was deprived of her “self-care ritual” – not a chore – and made building a laundry room a priority.

“It has to be done, might as well make it fun,” Anderson writes on a promotional video shared on Instagram. “I look at it as a time to kind of get away, a time for yourself. It’s meditative.”

Fans had lots to say about Anderson’s admission: “I thought I was the only person who loved to do laundry! Hanging the sheets on the line on a beautiful sunny day is heaven when you crawl in bed!”

A second, commenting on the clip where she looks almost angelic in all white, writes: “She is one of the very few women who make me feel at peace while scrolling social media…love her aesthetic.”

‘Beautiful soul’

According to comments on her social media, fans love her more today than they did almost 35 years ago when she first appeared on TV.

“The lady we all wanted to be when I was 25, now at 53 I still feel the same. BEAUTIFUL soul,” gushes one fan.

“You’re sooooo beautiful!!!! Thank you for showing your natural beauty and self-love and making it mainstream,” writes a second.

A third, referring to Anderson’s property, offers, “Good for her. Right there with grandma. Can you feel the love?”

Another adds, “Beautiful…she deserves every happiness…She came home…her safe place.”
