Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, 80, is undoubtedly one of the biggest rock icons in music history. The fact that he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth 22 years ago, becoming Sir Mick, says it all.

Jagger co-founded the Rolling Stones with Brian Jones (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Keith Richards (guitar) in January 1962. Watts passed away in the summer of 2021, and Jones has long since left the band.

Today, the band consists of Jagger, Richards, 80, and bassist/guitarist Ronnie Wood, 76, and they still sell out huge arenas worldwide. Last year, the band released their first full-length album with new material in 18 years: the critically acclaimed “Hackney Diamonds,” which they have since toured with. On the album, the group collaborates with other world-renowned artists with a similar level of fame as them, such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and Elton John. On the song “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” Lady Gaga provides backing vocals.

For over 60 years, Jagger has been one of the world’s most famous artists, which has also led to his private life being in the spotlight.

This is partly due to his large family. Jagger has eight children: his eldest daughter Karis Jagger was born in 1969, and his youngest son Deveraux was born in December 2016.

The world-famous artist with unique on-stage charisma married his first wife, Bianca Jagger, then Pérez-Mora Macías, in 1971. The couple married in Saint-Tropez, where crowds gathered outside to congratulate and wish well to the star and his new wife, who was born in Nicaragua.

The couple had a daughter, Jade Jagger, who is now 52 years old. She was formerly a model but is now known for her interior and jewelry design.

Bianca Jagger became known for her partying. The press reported that she rode into her 27th birthday party at the club Studio 54 in New York on a white horse. But it was later revealed that this was just a myth.

A few years ago, Bianca recounted this in a letter to the Financial Times, which was reprinted in Vogue magazine. Steve Rubell (Studio 54’s co-founder) had apparently seen a picture in a magazine where I was riding a white horse in Nicaragua, and he thought it would be a good idea to bring a horse to the club as a birthday surprise for me. It was a beautiful white horse that reminded me of mine, and I made the foolish decision to get on it for a few minutes. The photographed image went around the world and gave rise to the fable – that I came to Studio 54 on a white horse, Bianca wrote in the letter.

According to People, both Mick and Bianca had affairs outside of their marriage, but they were both aware of this. But in the end, this led Bianca to file for divorce – after Mick had been dating model Jerry Hall for a while, writes People.

In 1978, their breakup was finalized. In connection with the divorce, the couple reached a settlement that awarded Bianca 1.2 million dollars, according to New York Magazine. She has rarely spoken publicly about her former marriage to the Rolling Stones star. But a few years ago, she told The Guardian that the divorce felt like a failure.

“I was brought up Catholic, to believe that marriage is for life. And we failed,” she told The Guardian.

A little while after her marriage to Mick Jagger ended, Bianca also left behind the label of party princess. In the 1990s, she began fighting for the plight of vulnerable people worldwide through the organization Amnesty. Her commitment led to her receiving the “alternative Nobel Prize,” the Right Livelihood Award, in 2004. According to Aftonbladet, the jury justified the award by saying that Bianca Jagger used her celebrity status to help vulnerable people.

Mick Jagger is now in a steady relationship with American choreographer Melanie Hamrick, 36. The couple has been together for ten years and have a child together.
