Don’t rate a parent’s parenting skills based on how they look. Many people judged Richard Huff, a man with 240 tattoos, harshly because of his appearance and concluded that he must be a poor father. However, Marita, his wife, exposed him.
Richard has inked about 85% of his body as a means of expressing himself. He has five children and wants the world to know they’re normal individuals. His kids, despite first assessments from others, view him differently. In the words of one of his daughters: “My dad is not scary; he’s good with tattoos.”
His wife, Marita, took him at face value at first but eventually came to appreciate his generous nature. In her blog, she praises her husband and father for their commitment to each other. Richard is an involved parent who has joined the PTA and regularly attends his kids’ school and extracurricular activities.
Richard is proud of his tattoos and his family, despite the naysayers. According to him, “This is what we did, and we’re happy.” Having tattoos doesn’t make him a bad dad; in fact, they give his kids a fresh outlook on life.
