However, the comedian and host has announced her retirement from show business, which she has been a part of for over 40 years. The announcement was made during a press conference that DeGeneres hosted in Santa Clara, California, where she spoke to reporters and admirers.
After her tour for “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up,” DeGeneres had a solid “No” when asked if she intended to return. My presence here will be my final farewell. I am not interested in anything else after my Netflix special.
She merely said, “I’m leaving, goodbye,” without offering any other information. Fan demands that DeGeneres stay were met with unwavering determination on her part.
